PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antifouling coating composition which can well form a film not only in a coating method but also in a vacuum deposition method, and form an antifouling coating having excellent adhesiveness to a base material.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a perfluoropolyether-modified silane compound represented by general formula (1) and an antifouling coating composition having the same. In general formula (1), n is an integer ranging from 10 to 40, m is an integer ranging from 1 to 3, Rrepresents a C2-4 alkylene group, Rrepresents a C1-6 alkyl group, phenyl group or a C1-3 alkoxy group, X represents a C1-3 alkoxy group, Rrepresents a C3-5 alkyl group substituted by a hydroxy group and one or two substituents selected from the group consisting of hydroxy group and phenoxy group. This invention also relates to an antifouling coating produced by depositing the antifouling composition and articles having the same. |
