PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulse laser outputting an oscillation light pulse of high energy conversion efficiency.SOLUTION: A cavity dump laser device is constituted, sequentially from the input side of excitation pulse light 57, of an excitation pulse light source 56, a first highly reflective mirror 52, a laser gain medium 51, an optical switch 54, and a second highly reflective mirror 53. An optical path of the optical switch 54 is set to constitute a resonator at a moment in time when the excitation pulse 57 begins to impinge on the laser gain medium 51. The optical path is set so that the optical switch 54 is switched to high speed immediately after the end of the excitation pulse 57 has finished impingement on the laser gain medium 51, and oscillation light in the resonator is emitted to the outside thereof. |
