PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal head capable of efficiently radiating the heat of a head base body.SOLUTION: The thermal head X1 includes the head base body 3 having a substrate 7, a plurality of heating parts 9 provided on the substrate 7, a pair of electrodes electrically connected to the heating parts 9, and an insulating layer 29 provided on the electrodes; and a radiating member for radiating the heat of the head base body 3. A part of an insulating layer 30 facing the radiating member is opened to form an exposed section 8 exposing the electrode, and the exposed section 8 is joined to the radiating member by a radiating joint material 10 higher in heat conductivity than the insulating layer 30. |
