PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid waste of double printing due to use up of a medium during split printing and to avoid trouble of printing aspect due to image data mismatch when printing is restarted.SOLUTION: When a tape use-up is detected by a tape use-up detection part, at least one piece of unprinted image data, which has not been printed completely, is specified other than printed image data which have been completely printed on a tape 10 by a thermal head. While a project file is held in a storage device, a temporary project file having only unprinted image data as a printing range is generated and stored separately from the project file. The temporary project file is divided into the number of splits corresponding to the width of tape 20 or tape 30 newly provided after the determination that the supply of the tape 10 has finished, and temporary split prints are sequentially produced. |
