introducing an aqueous phase and an organic phase into a reservoir; flowing an aqueous phase stream from the reservoir; flowing an organic phase stream from the reservoir, wherein the aqueous phase stream and organic phase stream are separate; and recombining the organic phase stream and the aqueous phase stream to form the emulsion droplets.
