Provided are an interference resistant method and apparatus, which can solve the problem of a poor interference offset performance due to the fact that the accuracy of an equalization coefficient obtained through CMTS calculation is not high enough. The specific solution is as follows: a CMTS using a self-adaptive algorithm to calculate L equalization coefficients of a filter having L taps according to a preamble sequence, and using the L equalization coefficients to perform self-adaptive equalization on a received signal, where L is a positive integer greater than 24 (101); and the CMTS selecting K equalization coefficients from L equalization coefficients, carrying same in a ranging response packet message and sending same to a cable modem (CM), so that the CM performs pre-equalization on a sent signal according to K received equalization coefficients, where K is a positive integer less than or equal to L (102).
