Reported is a method for obtaining powder paints with electrostatic application useful in the coating of metallic pieces. The paint is characterized in that it uses a polyester-phthalic resin, where the total phthalic acid derivatives result from the hydrolysis reaction of the recycled poly(ethylene terephthalate), the product being reacted with polyhydric alcohols producing a resin that results to be the base for the formulation of powder paint. This obtained resin is formulated with dyes, inorganic fillers, diisocyanates that promote the cross-linking reaction and ultraviolet stabilizers. This product helps the environment sustainability, since, on the one hand, uses a residue potentially toxic to the environment as the polyethylene terephthalate and the resulting product avoids the emission of volatile organic compounds to the environment, on the other hand, the polyester-phthalic resin may be prepared using vegetal origin compounds such as sorbitol. |
