Cosmetic composition comprises, in a cosmetic vehicle, 0.01-10 wt.% of at least one amino acid, and 0.01-10 wt.% of at least one cationic keratin hydrolyzate. An independent claim is included for treating keratinous fibers, comprising applying the composition to the keratin fibers, and rinsing again after a contact time of few seconds up to 45 minutes.
