PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely prevent an electrical shock due to an artificial operation miss during electric component replacement by a protection system provided with an electric component attachable to wire and a disconnecting switch connecting and disconnecting the wire by linear movement.SOLUTION: A protection system 1 is provided with an interlock structure 2 including a cover member 3 which can move between an attachment/detachment disabled position where an electric component 12 is prevented from being attached and detached and an attachment/detachment enabled position where the electric component 12 is allowed to be attached and detached; a restriction member 4 which is enabled to move linearly between a movement disabled position where the cover member 3 is prevented from moving to the attachment/detachment enabled position and a movement enabled position where the cover member 3 is enabled to move to the attachment/detachment enabled position, the direction of linear movement to the movement enabled position being different from a linear movement direction of a disconnecting switch SW switching the wire to a non-conduction state; and a moving direction conversion mechanism 5 which converts the linear movement of the disconnecting switch SW switching the wire to the non-conduction state into linear movement of the restriction member 4 toward the movement enabled position.
