<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drug efflux inhibitor which has drug efflux inhibition effect to microorganisms, tumor cells or the like and simultaneously has high safety since, in drug efflux pump inhibitors developed heretofore, sufficient ones have not been obtained in the aspects of effect and safety. <P>SOLUTION: The drug efflux inhibitor includes phenylpropanoid and/or its salt.
