[Class 38 (i)] In a shuttered socket of the kind described in Specifications 487,693 and 533,433 in which the spring-controlled shutter 16 normally covers the live sockets 14, 15 and is moved by a slide 20 having an offset portion and a cam in the earth socket 13, the slide has a fork or slot 60 embracing the shutter pivot 17. The shutter is mechanically connected to the slide by a pin 48 forming the offset portion of the slide and engaging a shutter hole 47. The pivot is positioned preferably on a median of the isosceles triangle formed by the sockets.
