The invention relates to a conveyor device (1) and to a method for operating the conveyor device (1). Said conveyor device (1) comprises drives (2, 2a..2c) which are arranged successively in the direction of conveyance (z) and are used for transporting objects (17..19), said drives predefining a desired path and/or a desired speed of the object (17..19). In a first step, at least one first value (W1) of at least one physical property is detected at a first time point (t1) on a first position (Pl), or said type of value (W1) is predefined. Also, at least one second value (W2) of said at least one property is detected after a detection time span (t(x)) at a second time point (t2) on a second position (P2) which is arranged in the direction of conveyance (z) which is behind the first position (P1) at a detection distance (x). Subsequently, a plausibility test is carried out with regard to the coincidence of the first value (W1) with the second value (W2) and the presumed displacement of the objects (17...19) occurs between the detection of the first value (W1) and the second value (W2) based on a) the desired path predetermined by the drives (2, 2a..2c) b) the desired speed predefined by the drives (2, 2a..2c) in connection with the detection time span (t(x)). |
