The present invention provides a seam ravel preventing apparatus and seam ravel preventing method for stiches. In the invention, a thread hanging hook is arranged on the rear side of a needle drop position. The thread hanging hook swings at the end of sewing when a looper brought into advanced state. The hook at the tip of thread hanging hook and near the rear side of the looper, holds the multiple needle threads ring caught by looper at an advance end. In the invention, perform at least one stich in this state, let the needle of needle thread ring hold by the thread hanging hook down for passing, use the need thread hold by the needle to make the above mentioned needle thread ring connect automatically, and prevents looper thread ravel which pressing the looper thread by the automatically connect part. Thereby effectively prevent seam ravel occurred that is specific to double chain stitching. |
