Various embodiments of the present invention relate to an apparatus and a method for controlling at least one different electronic device among electronic devices. In this case, an operating method of the electronic device includes operations of detecting at least one second electrode device functionally connected with a first electrode device, detecting a multi-touch input from the first electronic device, determining whether or not the multi-touch input is detected through the first electronic device or the at least one second electronic device, and controlling an application based on whether or not the multi-touch input is detected through one electronic device.
