The faces of nuts, washers, bolt heads, &c. are coated with solder and flux so that the articles may be attached to sheets, &c. by merely applying heat. A preferred composition of solder is Ag, 50; Cu, 15.5; Zn, 16.5; and Cd, 18 per cent; the flux preferably consisting of KHF2, 25; K2B4O75H2O, 60 per cent; the balance being water. |
