PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently reduce a power use amount in response to reception of a power reduction request while reducing a ratio of discomfort of a user of an apparatus.SOLUTION: A power management system comprises a power management server 1 and a plurality of power controllers 2. Each power controller 2 comprises: a storage unit 24 for storing correspondence between a content of energy saving control in an apparatus 3 and priority; and a calculation unit 232 for calculating, for each priority for an apparatus 3 having been switched on before start of power reduction, a power reducible amount in the case of performing energy saving control being equal to or lower than the priority by using the correspondence in the storage unit 24, when an external communication unit 21 receives a power reduction request. The power management server 1 comprises: a server side communication unit 12 for receiving a power reducible amount for each priority from each power controller 2; and a determination unit 112 for determining priority for implementing a power reducible amount required for the power reduction request. The power controller 2 further comprises a control unit 233 for performing energy saving control corresponding to priority which is equal to or less than the priority determined by the power management server 1, when power reduction start time has come. |
