<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retrofit apparatus for acquiring vehicle information to be connected with a troubleshooting connector for use, wherein a mechanism capable of measuring battery voltage by the apparatus itself is incorporated, and the apparatus has such functions that the battery voltage can be directly measured and recorded in a memory in the apparatus or transmitted by a wireless communication module mounted on the apparatus when an ignition SW of the vehicle is OFF. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus for acquiring vehicle information includes a retrofit apparatus for acquiring the vehicle information, which has such functions that it is connected with the troubleshooting connector incorporated in the vehicle, receives data from the troubleshooting connector and wirelessly transmits to a predetermined device, a smart phone, for example. It includes a measuring means comprising an A/D converter capable of measuring voltage from a battery by the apparatus itself.
