According to an embodiment of the present invention, an apparatus for simultaneously optimizing the phase and shape of a structure using a harmony search method includes a finite element modeling unit defining a design area for a structure, and performing finite element modeling for the design area to divide into a structure element and a non-structure element; a candidate solution selecting unit receiving a boundary condition and a weight condition acting on the structure, performing finite element analysis based on the received boundary and weight conditions, defining a boundary element based on a boundary line, and performing a random search for the entire boundary area of the design area for searching for a candidate solution; and an optimal solution determining unit compensating for the location of each divided element through a probability selection for the candidate solution, storing the candidate solution in a harmony memory (HM) according to the importance of the each divided element, and determining the candidate solution as an optimal solution when the object function of the structure according to the candidate solution satisfies a convergence condition. The candidate solution selecting unit can newly define the boundary element even when the candidate solution is searched through the performance of the random search. |
