PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively suppress the temperature rise at an end of a fixation belt during fixation for paper both in small size and large size, while preventing side effects caused by the suppression, such as deterioration in energy saving, prolongation in warm-up time, and a drop in temperature.SOLUTION: A fixation device 20 that fixes an unfixed image on a recording medium P at a nip part comprises: a fixation member 21 that is rotatable; a pressure member 22 that is rotatably provided opposite to the fixation member; a plurality of heating sources 23a and 23b that heat the fixation member; a nip forming member 24 that is opposite to the pressure member and forms the nip part; and a shielding member 210 that is provided between the heating sources and the fixation member and is capable of shielding the light from the heating source in accordance with the rotation position thereof. The nip forming member 24 includes a base material 51 and, on the nip part side of the base material, a first heat conduction member 41 that has a heat conductivity larger than that of the base material.
