PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forging device capable of significantly reducing man-hour, enhancing accuracy of positioning with regard to a metal mold even for a large sized heavy material to be forged, and increasing productivity of forged material.SOLUTION: A forging device comprises a set of metal mold consisting of an upper die and a lower die, and performs a forging process to a material to be forged using the set of metal mold. The forging device has the set of metal mold placed thereon, and moves it to a forging position. Then, when forging is performed, the forging device is provided with a metal mold transfer unit, which is used as a base for the lower die. The metal mold transfer unit moves oppositely in a horizontal direction, and comprises a detachable clamp mechanism to hold and position the material to be forged.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
