PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor of which the reduction in detection accuracy can be suppressed by suppressing swinging of a lead wire in a radial direction in a part where a detection element and an elastic member are spaced from each other.SOLUTION: In an oxygen sensor 1, a lead wire 81 and a connection fitting 20 are connected in a cylindrical hole 69 of a detection element 6, and an insulating member 8 having an insertion hole 81 through which the lead wire 81 is inserted is disposed between a body fitting 5 and a grommet 9, and a minimum diameter A of the insertion hole 81 of the insulating member 8 is smaller than a diameter B of an aperture of the cylindrical hole 69 of the detection element 69. Because of this configuration, swinging of the lead wire 81 in a radial direction of the oxygen sensor 1 is restricted by the insertion hole 81 of the insulating member 8 to reduce stress applied to a connection part between the connection fitting 20 and the lead wire 81, so that poor contact between the lead wire 81 and the connection fitting 20 and coming-off of the lead wire 81 from the connection fitting 20 can be prevented. As a result, the reduction in detection accuracy of the oxygen sensor 1 can be suppressed. |
