The present invention relates to a rotor of a field winding type motor and a field winding type motor including the rotor, in which a curved shape of the outer circumferential face of a pole shoe portion of a field winding type rotor is changed, a magnetic flux barrier is formed inside the pole shoe portion, an output torque decrease is prevented and a torque ripple is reduced without increasing the entire size according to excessive shape deformation of the pole shoe portion. The rotor of the field winding type motor includes a rotor core, a plurality of teeth portions which protrude from the outer circumferential face of the rotor core and on which a field coil is wound, and a pole shoe portion which extends from the end portion of the teeth portions to both sides and has a curved outer face. The pole shoe portion is provided with a magnetic flux barrier portion which decreases the torque ripple by increasing the density of the magnetic flux passing through the teeth portions by adjusting the density of the magnetic flux passing through the pole shoe portion.
