Disclosed are an X-ray detector having an improved structure to prevent a foreign material from penetrating, and an X-ray imaging apparatus having the same. The X-ray detector provided to detect an X-ray irradiated by an X-ray source, comprises: a scintillator provided to convert the X-ray irradiated by the X-ray source into a visible ray; a detecting panel provided to convert the visible ray passing the scintillator into an electric signal; a circuit board electrically connected to the detecting panel, and received inside the X-ray detector to control an operation of the X-ray detector; a terminal unit provided in the X-ray detector to couple a coupling module to be electrically connected to the circuit board; and a cap for switching the terminal unit to prevent a foreign material from being flowed in the terminal unit.
