The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition or a food composition having anti-allergic effects for treatment, comprising a fermented product of an elm tree biologically converted through the additional enzymatic treatment or the fermentation of microorganisms (Basidiomycota hyphae). The fermented product of an elm tree biologically converted through the enzymatic treatment and the fermentation of Basidiomycota hyphae contains anti-allergic substances in large quantities in comparison with the elm tree which is not fermented, and exhibits effects in reducing the occurrence of allergy by using the same, when being developed as a food or the like.
