A device for heating a tyre while in use on a vehicle and adapted to mount adjacent to and spaced apart from the tyre, comprising a flexible support having a length, a width and a depth less than the length and the width, a first major surface and a second opposing surface, configured to conform adjustably to a curved profile such that the first surface is positioned on the concave side of the profile, a plurality of electrical infrared radiation (IR) sources mounted on the first surface of the support such that when the support confirms to the curved profile the IR sources are on the concave side of the profile, electrical connections to each IR source, connector means to contact the electrical connections, to connect the IR sources to a power supply, and control means to control the power supply to the IR sources. |
