PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a looper device capable of avoiding the overload of drive helper rolls even at the time of acceleration of a strip material.SOLUTION: A control device for a looper device: includes first and second looper devices; and a tension reference correcting portion 30 for correcting a tension reference 21 to a carriage motor 11b of a second looper device which is outputted from a host device 20, and computing a corrected tension reference 22 to a carriage motor 11a of the first looper device. The tension reference correcting portion 30 is equipped with a memory portion for storing a bend loss of the first looper device in advance, and an electric tying tension design calculating portion for calculating an electric tying tension reference value which becomes a reference of electric tying control on the basis of the tension reference and the bend loss of the memory portion. The corrected tension reference 22 is computed by using at least the electric tying reference value and the positional deviation of carriages of the first and second looper devices. |
