The invention relates to a braking control method for a vehicle equipped with regenerative braking means and additional braking means, comprising: storing a plurality of efficiency factor values for the additional braking means, each stored value corresponding to a speed of the vehicle or a speed range of that vehicle, receiving a current vehicle speed value, and correcting an additional braking setpoint value intended for the additional braking means, by applying to said setpoint value an efficiency value chosen from among said plurality of stored values and corresponding to the current speed of the vehicle.
