A support (5) for a safety belt retractor consisting of a stamped sheet metal plate comprising holes (6, 7) for the passage of screws for securing said support (5) to one of the two inner side members (1) of the body of a motor vehicle, characterised in that, in order to allow said support (5) to be secured to said inner side member (1) when the body comprises a floor (4) made from a composite material of which the two longitudinal edges (4a) each rise up onto one of the two inner side members (1), the support (5) carries cylindrical barrels (8) that respectively axially surround said passage holes (6, 7) in order for said barrels (8) to be able to press directly against the inner side member (1). |
