PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust collector which has a simple structure and good handleability and is suitable for a self-propelled vacuum cleaner, and the self-propelled vacuum cleaner having the dust collector.SOLUTION: A dust collector comprises: a dust collection container having an opening and accommodating dust; an inflow port for making the dust sucked from a suction port in the bottom of a vacuum cleaner flow into the dust collection container together with air; a filter part for making the air having flowed into the dust collection container pass through it, and collecting the dust; a cover part pivotally supported by the dust collection container in an openable and closable manner so as to cover the filter part and the opening of the dust collection container; a discharge port for discharging the air having passed through the filter part from the dust collecting container; and a discharge passage for making the discharge port and the discharge path communicate with each other. The filter part is pivotally supported in the vicinity of the pivotally supporting portion of the cover part in the dust collection container so that it can be turned, and the filter part has a pleat-like filter body. The ridge line of the projection part of the pleat is arranged so that the ridge line of the projection part extends along the air duct directed from the discharge port base end forming the discharge port toward the tip end of the discharge passage.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
