The invention relates to a thrust bearing (18) for a Macpherson strut (10) comprising a telescopic shock absorber (12) and a helical spring (14). Said thrust bearing comprises a bearing (20) provided with at least one upper washer (22) and one lower washer (24) rotating relative to one another. A one-piece cover made of molded plastic has a bottom surface, comprising an area for making contact with the upper washer, and at least one snap-fitting area (66, 90). A bottom one-piece mount (34) made of molded plastic has a top surface (36) comprising an area (38) for making contact with the lower washer (24), and a bottom surface (42) comprising a peripheral annular bearing area (47) for the upper end of the helical spring (14). The mount (34) comprises hooks (62, 88) radially projecting toward the snap-fitting area (66, 90) of the cover such as to snap-fit onto the snap-fitting area (66, 90) of the cover. The mount has lights (64, 92) which are axially aligned with the hooks (62, 88) such that the mount (34) does not comprise any portion radially covering the hooks (62, 88). It is then possible to produce the mount, and the cover if necessary, by molding in a mold having parts which are only translatable relative to one another. |
