The present invention relates to an apparatus for manufacturing an activated carbon fiber, and more specifically, to an apparatus for manufacturing an activated carbon fiber capable of massively manufacturing a high quality activated carbon fiber by uniformly maintaining a temperature distribution in an active furnace. According to the present invention, the apparatus comprises: a furnace chamber providing an activation reaction space for a matter subject to an activation process; a nitrogen curtain partitioning an internal space of the furnace chamber into a preheating section, an activation section, and a cooling section to maintain each section in an independent atmosphere; a heating means to heat the preheating section and the activation section; a moving means moving the matter subject to the activation process; and an atmosphere gas adjusting means supplying an atmosphere gas inside the furnace chamber.
