The present invention provides a disaster prevention system based on a beacon and a control method thereof. The disaster prevention system based on a beacon comprises: a first step of installing a plurality of beacon sensors with a mash protocol mounted thereon on a plurality of places where disasters can occur or user position acknowledgement is required, and setting the beacon sensors such that adjacent beacon sensors communicate with each other using individual identifications (IDs) of the beacon sensors; a second step, after the first step, of checking whether an event occurs in a location where the beacon sensor is located, and relay-transferring a corresponding event signal to the adjacent beacon sensor; and a third step in which a beacon management server analyzes the event signal received through the relay-transferring from the beacon sensor, generates and stores set event information, and transfers the corresponding event information to a smartphone, which approaches within a sensing range of a specific beacon sensor and requests for the event information, or enables the beacon sensor to transfer the event information to the corresponding smartphone. According to the present invention, since beacons are installed on various places where disasters or user positions need to be acknowledged, and adjacent beacons communicate with each other to successively relay-transfer the event signal, it is possible to increase a communication range between the beacon and a smart device by a large amount. Therefore, system scalability can be maximized by using the beacons. |
