The present invention relates to an apparatus for inspecting a twisted brush used in an interdental brush or the like and a method, which checks a shape of coupling between the twisted brush and a plastic handle to determine whether the twisted brush has successfully passed inspection. To this end, the present invention provides the apparatus comprising: a base frame (10); a feeding frame (20) provided at one side of an upper end of the base frame (10) for feeding the twisted brush which is an object under inspection; a sensor unit (30) arranged on a movement trajectory of the twisted brush to check whether the brush is faulty or not; a detection unit (40) for detecting a sensing value input by the sensor unit (30); and a display device (50) for displaying the sensing value detected by the detection unit (40). The present invention provides the inspecting method using the apparatus, which comprises the steps of: fastening the brush under inspection to the feeding frame (20) and feeding the brush at a regular speed (S10); passing the brush through a pair of sensing heads (31) provided at the sensor unit (30) positioned adjacent to the feeding frame (20) to receive the sensing value (S20); comparing the sensing value input in the step (S20) with a reference value to analyzing a coupling angle of the twisted brush (S30); and determining whether the twisted brush has successfully passed the inspection using the comparative analysis result in the step (S30) (S40).
