Coffee machine with single-serve setting

A coffee machine is selectively operated to dispense a single-serve brew of coffee. A processor monitors water level within a reservoir and controls dispensing into a filter basket of coffee and water in quantities appropriate for a single serving. Thereafter, the processor controls opening of a valve that permits a single serving of brewed coffee to be dispensed from the filter basket.
