The present invention relates to a baggage position correction system and a method thereof, which can grasp and correct a position of a baggage so as to prevent delivery delay and falling of the baggage caused by unstable arrangement of the baggage while the baggage is transferred through various conveyor belts, during high speed transportation of air baggage at an airport. The baggage position correction system according to the present invention includes: an object recognition part to recognize the baggage located on the conveyor belt; a position correction part to correct the position as to the baggage on the conveyor belt; an object scanning part to generate a baggage image by scanning the recognized baggage; and a correction control part which recognizes an unstable state of the baggage by analyzing the baggage image, and outputs a position correction command to the position correction part if the unstable state of the baggage is equal to or more than a specific threshold value.
