Provided are a method for manufacturing a thermoelectric material capable of controlling electric and thermoelectric properties, and a method for manufacturing a thermoelectric module using the same. According to the present invention, the method for manufacturing a thermoelectric material comprises the following steps: providing a compound thermoelectric semiconductor; adding a metal-organic pore forming material; selectively calcinating; and sintering. According to the present invention, provided is a technology capable of controlling properties of n-type and p-type thermoelectric materials to manufacture a high efficiency module.
