The present invention discloses a method and a device for detecting an illegal call which incurs an interconnection charge. The method for detecting the illegal call in the device for detecting the illegal call which incurs the interconnection charge according to an aspect of the present invention includes: (a) a step of extracting a user number, at which a call forwarding number is registered, from a subscriber profile database; (b) a step of checking a number transfer database for verifying whether the call forwarding number registered at the user number extracted in step (a) is a number opened by the company which owns the method and the device; (c) a step of extracting the user number which has made a call to specific numbers in a specific pattern by checking a billing database when it is verified that the call forwarding number belongs to one among other companies as a consequence of the checking of step (b); (d) a step of analyzing the details of a base station call of the user number extracted in step (c); and a step of determining whether to interrupt the extracted user number based on the base station call details of the user number analyzed in step (d).
