摘要 The present invention relates to a coasting control method of an eco-friendly vehicle, and the main purpose of the present invention is to provide the coasting control method of an eco-friendly vehicle, which guides and induces a driver to conduct coasting depending on a situation with a forward vehicle, and maximizes economical driving by entering into a coasting control state when energy is recovered through an electric motor. In order to achieve this purpose, the coasting control method of an eco-friendly vehicle, comprises: a step of calculating a forward vehicle speed reaching coasting distance, which is a distance until a vehicle of this invention reaches the forward vehicle speed when coasting, from driving information of the vehicle and driving information of the forward vehicle, which are obtained during driving of the vehicle; a step of comparing a reference distance calculated using the forward vehicle speed reaching coasting distance in an on-state of an accelerating pedal with a distance between the vehicle and the forward vehicle, which is detected by an inter-vehicle distance sensor; a step of guiding coasting for guiding and inducing the driver to take a foot off the accelerating pedal through an information output part if the reference distance is more than the distance between the vehicle and the forward vehicle; and a step of carrying out coasting control for recovering energy through the electric motor for driving a vehicle if an off state of the accelerating pedal is inputted after guiding and inducing the coasting.
