PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent inflow of unnecessary control data from a switching device in a network system for an industrial purpose.SOLUTION: A switching device according to the invention includes packet classification units 12-1 to 12-5 that, if a reception frame is a broadcast frame, determine whether the reception frame is a device control frame or not on the basis of an Ethernet (R) type, a protocol number, and a destination port number of the reception frame, and if the reception frame is a device control frame, output the reception frame to a physical port that uses a control communication protocol common to the reception frame on the basis of a broadcast distribution reference table describing control communication protocols used by devices connected with respective physical ports. |
