APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING A WORK-GROUP SIZE

Disclosed is a method for determining a size of a working group. The method comprises: a step of calculating a first value which indicates a spatial locality of a memory, shared by at least one working item, which is included in a working group; a step of calculating a second value which indicates a footprint of the at least one working item, based on the first value; and a step of determining the size of the working group based on the first and second values. The purpose of the present invention is to provide an apparatus and a method for determining a size of a working group by using a footprint of a working item and a spatial locality of a memory.
