PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal device that conveniently implements a shortened operation time required to correct a character.SOLUTION: A mobile phone 1 includes a control section 11 for displaying an operation section for character input (hiragana keyboard 111, predictive conversion window 411) on a display screen 3, and displaying a character depending on a touch operation on the operation section on the display screen 3. The operation section includes a delete key 113. When a touch operation is made on the delete key 113, the control section 11 displays characters 512, 522 as corrective candidates on the display screen 3 such that correspondences of the corrective candidate characters 512, 522 to directions of a flick operation from the delete key 113 can be recognized, and in response to a flick operation from the position of the delete key 113, 123, replaces the character to be deleted with the corrective candidate character 512, 522 corresponding to the direction of the flick operation. |
