PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a staircase type incinerator capable of burning wasted materials with water content ratios or others without installing expensive facilities such as a dryer, generating few nitrogen monoxide, capable of removing ammonia gas to enhance deodorizing effect, and capable of achieving combustion gas temperatures not lower than 850°C at which the generation of dioxins is reduced.SOLUTION: In a staircase type incinerator 1 which has a stoker 9 comprising a drying stoker 9a and a combustion stoker 9b, supplies primary burning air from under the stoker 9 to a primary combustion chamber 12 above the stoker 9, and primarily burns waste materials with high water content ratios and fuel supplied onto the stoker, and secondarily burns unburned gas and unburned substances in a secondary combustion chamber 13 above the primary combustion chamber 12, the staircase type incinerator 1 has an exhaust gas supply path 20 drawing a portion of exhaust gas G' from an exhaust gas discharge line of the staircase type incinerator 1 and supplying the same to a lower part of the drying stoker 9a and an exhaust gas return path 22 drawing the exhaust gas G' having passed through the wasted materials and the fuel on the drying stoker 9a along with vapor and ammonia gas generated of the drying stoker 9a and returning the same to the exhaust gas discharge line. |
