PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure high supercharging performance (acceleration responsiveness) from a low rotation area to a high rotation area while simplifying a structure as much as possible.SOLUTION: In an internal combustion engine provided with two exhaust ports 11, 12 on one cylinder 1, both exhaust ports 11, 12 are formed on one side face 3b of a cylinder head 3 independently from each other, and the pair of exhaust ports 11, 12 are connected to different exhaust manifolds 5, 6. Exhaust turbo superchargers 15, 16 are respectively connected to the exhaust manifolds 5, 6. In the low rotation area, one of exhaust valves 13, 14 is closed even in an exhaust stroke, thus the exhaust gas can be supplied to only a first exhaust turbo supercharger (compact exhaust turbo supercharger) 15 through the first exhaust manifold 5. Thus acceleration responsiveness in the low rotation area can be improved.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
