Provided are a method for preparing a mesoporous inorganic oxide and a mesoporous inorganic oxide prepared by the method, the method comprising the steps of: preparing a mixture of an amorphous inorganic oxide and a metal salt selected from the group consisting of at least one alkali metal-containing compound, at least one alkali earth metal-containing compound, and a combination thereof; burning the mixture of the metal salt and the amorphous inorganic oxide; and removing the metal salt contained in the burned mixture, the mesoporous inorganic oxide being formed in an aggregate of inorganic oxide particles with a size of 2-5 nm. The present invention can provide: a method for preparing a mesoporous inorganic oxide, which achieves a simple preparing process, consumes less time for preparation by about one day, is environmentally friendly due to the generation of no secondary environmental pollutants, and enables mass production; and a mesoporous inorganic oxide, which has an increased specific surface area and more active sites by significantly decreasing the particle size. |
