This rotational operation device is provided with: a rotational shaft which is rotated by an operation of an operation member; a holder fixed to the rotational shaft; a torsion coil spring (42) which is fitted around the outside of the rotational shaft, and is wound and tightened while being pressed in the rotational direction of the rotational shaft by the holder; and a pair of collars (41) inserted into the torsion coil spring. Each of the collars (41) includes a taper having: a first end surface having a first external diameter which is smaller than the wound and tightened internal diameter of the torsion coil spring (42); and a second end surface having a second external diameter which is greater than the initial internal diameter of the torsion coil spring. The pair of collars (41) are disposed such that the first end surface of one of the collars faces the first end surface of the other of the collars, and so as to be impelled in directions in which the pair of collars (41) approach each other. |
