The present invention relates to a vehicle driving direction-based HUD system and, more specifically, to a vehicle driving direction-based HUD system capable of: controlling the position and size of an HUD display in accordance with a driving direction and a road state when driving a vehicle; and displaying the controlled position and size on wind shield glass. A vehicle driving direction-based HUD display device of the present invention comprises: an HUD display information receiving unit which receives information to display the information to an HUD; a navigation information receiving unit which receives path information and road information regarding a path set after searching for the path from a navigation device; a driving information receiving unit which receives the information on a driving direction in accordance with the operation of a driver; a progress direction information calculating unit which calculates the information on a predicted progress direction by using the road information and the driving information; a longitudinal/transverse direction information calculating unit which calculates the current location, the next location, and the location after the next location by using the progress direction information and calculates the angle of longitudinal and transverse directions in accordance with each of the road information; an HUD display position/size calculating unit which calculates the position and size of an HUD display in accordance with the angle of the longitudinal and transverse directions; and an HUD display unit which displays HUD information on wind shield glass in accordance with the position and size of the HUD display. |
