PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for increasing the endurance of a solid oxide fuel battery using a proton conductor electrolyte.SOLUTION: A solid oxide fuel battery 10 comprises: an electrolyte layer 13 having proton conductivity; a fuel electrode 14 provided on one side of the electrolyte layer 13; an air electrode 11 provided on the other side of the electrolyte layer 13; and a protection layer 12 provided between the electrolyte layer 13 and the air electrode 11. The electrolyte layer 13 includes a proton-conducting material having the following composition: BaZrMO(where 0<x<1, M represents at least one metal element which can take a valence of 3 or less). The air electrode 11 includes an electron-conducting oxide including Sr. The protection layer 12 includes a material having the following composition: BaSrZrJO(where 0<y≤1, 0<z<1, J represents at least one metal element which can take a valence of 3 or less).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
