PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus that enables an interactive operation using an external portable information processing apparatus through short-range radio communication.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes a short-range communication part that performs short-range radio communication with a portable information processing apparatus having a display part, and a control part. The control part includes: a recognition part that recognizes the portable information processing apparatus within a communicable range through communication via the short-range communication part; a job setting part that transmits, via the short-range communication part, a request for displaying a job setting screen on the display part of the recognized portable information processing apparatus; and a job control part that executes a job in response to an instruction to start the job. The job setting part receives, via the short-range communication part, job settings using the job setting screen after the recognition has been performed to receive the job settings from the portable information processing apparatus, and the job control part receives an instruction to start the job settings of which have been received.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
