PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning device that prevents a trouble that a paper powder bitten into an edge part of a cleaning blade in contact with an image carrier from passing through the edge part with a toner to cause the generation of abnormal images, including cleaning failure, with a relatively simple configuration, without accelerating a deterioration of the image carrier and causing turn-up of the cleaning blade and generating abnormal noise; a process cartridge; and an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: A cleaning device has a paper powder regulating blade 16 (paper powder regulating member) disposed at a position on the upstream side in the direction of travel of a photoreceptor drum 11 (image carrier) with respect to a cleaning blade 15a so as to face the photoreceptor drum 11 with a predetermined gap G, causes an untransferred toner T and a paper powder S1 in a size less than a predetermined value (small-size paper powder) to pass through the position of the gap G and does not cause a paper powder S0 in a size equal to or larger than the predetermined value (large-size paper powder) to pass through the position of the gap G.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
