The present invention provides a manufacturing method using simultaneous multilayer coating application, whereby it is possible to reduce the incidence of coating failure in an optical film. The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing an optical film in which at least two optically functional layers are formed on a substrate, wherein the method for manufacturing an optical film has a loss modulus confirmation step for confirming the loss modulus of a coating liquid for forming the optically functional layers by measuring the dynamic viscoelasticity thereof, and a coating application step for performing simultaneous multilayer coating application of the coating liquid for forming the optically functional layers, coating application being performed in the coating application step when the time variation (∆G'') of the loss modulus defined by equation 1 of the coating liquid for forming the optically functional layers is 3.0 or less.
